Order of the Lion Rampant is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization whose mission is...“To engage in research, publish material of relevance and interest to the field of pre-17th-Century Western Culture, and to present activities and participate in events which re-create the environment of the medieval and renaissance eras.” These environments may be created based on real-world historical events or a fictional universe based around these eras.

The Order is currently focused on three divisions, which make our approach somewhat unique from similar organizations. They include…
• The gathering of research, and maintenance of a physical and online library of medieval and renaissance period history.
• Participating in period specific living history and other community events related to the medieval and renaissance eras. We support events in our local communities, host historical re-enactments that attempt to replicate the clothing, armor, and weapons used for the specific kingdom and time, and also consider the impact fictional works have had in society in relation to real-world history. Further, we work in partnership with local middle and high school history teachers with our Get Medieval Classroom Project to bring the history of the medieval and renaissance eras to life in their classrooms by educating youth through an interactive program. This program is being expanded to include a Squire mentoring program serving at-risk youth in the community.
• Development and promotion of local medieval/armored combat teams, including HEMA, Buhurt and other period specific armored combat. Combat is not limited to one specific type, allowing a diversity of options for all disciplines and skill levels, so long as they are in the spirit of the periods in which The Order operates.

Beginning with our first chapter in North Las Vegas, Nevada in 2018, Order of the Lion Rampant has grown to have chapters in the United States, Canada and Italy. We are always looking to expand to new areas where interest demands.
Our chapters are called kingdoms and chapter leaders are elected by and among the members of that kingdom, allowing for any member in good standing to ascend to a leadership position.

Jessica brings extensive administrative and performing arts experience to The Order. After graduating from high school in Las Vegas, Jessica attended the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Los Angeles, as well as New York Film Academy. As a history major at LCCC, her passion for history makes her a perfect match for the position of Program Director. She has written scripts for two biopics, one of which advanced to semi-finalist in a national competition and was selected for reading at a local film festival. To write these, Jessica delved into the detailed history of the subjects, visiting the places they lived and died, and connecting to them on a personal level in order to best write through their point of view. Jessica’s administrative skills include daily operations of The Order as well as grant writing. In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading and spending time with her lovable cat. Jessica also volunteers her time serving as Mistress of the Arts, sitting on the Privy Council for the first chapter of The Order.
