Founder & Chairman

Edward brings over 30 years of leadership experience to Order of the Lion Rampant. A graduate of Bonanza High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, he served in the JROTC program, where he served as Battalion Executive Officer in his senior year and was a recipient of the US Army Recruiting Command Award. Edward then attended Heritage College, graduating with honors and earning a degree in Travel & Tourism. He also graduated with high honors from the College of Southern Nevada's Hospitality Department. Edward began his career as a travel agent, and eventually became a serial entrepreneur, founding several companies which he later took public, including EZ Travel. Edward has also served on the executive management and board of directors of several publicly traded companies. Prior to founding the Order of the Lion Rampant, Edward was Program Director, Bookkeeper, or Executive Director for four charitable organizations, and served as a consultant to several others. His most rewarding experience was helping youth who were aging out of the foster care system by teaching essential life skills, including basic finances. Edward has been a Certified Trainer of Casey Life Skills since 2005.

A life member of The Plantagenet Society, as well as The Society of Descendants of Knights of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, Edward is a direct descendant of Robert The Bruce, King of Scots, as well as a direct descendant of the Plantagenet line of English rulers from King Edward III. In 2019, he was appointed Convener at the Las Vegas Highland Games for the Clan Logan Society and was knighted as an Officer of the Sovereign Military Order of Sealand. Edward currently serves as the Social Media Manager for the Pennsylvania Chapter of the International Beard Alliance. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, motorcycle riding, supporting his hometown sports teams, and bringing medieval history to life.

Board Member

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Roger Rich graduated from East Detroit High School before studying Criminal Justice at the University of Phoenix.

Roger enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during two rotations in Afghanistan and one in Iraq. He is the recipient of the Operation Enduring Freedom Medal and the Purple Heart. Roger loves his animals and enjoys motorcycle riding and offroading. A trusted knight of The Order, Roger is Lord General Emeritus for the first chapter of the Order of the Lion Rampant.

Board Member

John is a Las Vegas native who graduated from New Horizons Academy, followed by attending culinary school. John has also owned several businesses, with the most recent being Empire Gold Mining LLC and Derek’s Specialty Bakery. He has many hobbies such as engineering, chemistry, fishing, making beer, and reading. Shortly after graduation he married the love of his life and they had the first of two children, their daughter, who is now 19 and a sophomore in college who is working towards her master’s degree in Speech Pathology, and his son who was born a few years later.

There have been many challenges in his life upon discovering that his son has a chromosome disorder, and John has been the main caretaker for his son. John also loves history and exploring historical ghost town mining sites. He has been a valuable asset to our organization and is skilled in metal working and the creating and assembly of materials in his workshop.

Carrie Wheeler serves on the Board of Directors for Order of the Lion Rampant. She graduated from Bonanza High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, after working her way up the chain-of-command in the JROTC program to become the battalion’s Assistant Logistics Officer, and was decorated several times for demonstration of leadership and good citizenship.

Carrie has worked in bookkeeping for over 20 years, as well as being a Family Readiness Group Leader for four years. She is a loving mother of three children, as well as adopting three cats and four dogs. During any remaining time, Carrie enjoys volunteering her time at her children’s schools, as well as listening to music, reading a good book, playing video games, or brushing up on history.

Born and raised in Berwick, Pennsylvania, Alicia Troiani studied Criminal Justice at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. During the years she lived in Las Vegas and Berwick, Alicia gained extensive experience working with youth in both the foster care system and education systems. She is dedicated to her family and loves spending time traveling, exploring hidden treasures in Northeastern Pennsylvania, crafting, and giving loving attention to her adorable cats. 

Program Director

Jessica brings extensive administrative and performing arts experience to The Order. After graduating from high school in Las Vegas, Jessica attended the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Los Angeles, as well as New York Film Academy. As a history major at LCCC, her passion for history makes her a perfect match for the position of Program Director. She has written scripts for two biopics, one of which advanced to semi-finalist in a national competition and was selected for reading at a local film festival. To write these, Jessica delved into the detailed history of the subjects, visiting the places they lived and died, and connecting to them on a personal level in order to best write through their point of view. Jessica’s administrative skills include daily operations of The Order as well as grant writing. In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading and spending time with her lovable cat. Jessica also volunteers her time serving as Mistress of the Arts, sitting on the Privy Council for the first chapter of The Order. 

General Counsel

Thomas grew up in Ventura, California before attending Occidental College and Whittier Law School, where he graduated in 1993. In 1997, Thomas began his own practice in Nevada, focusing on Securities Law for small-cap public companies. He resides in Las Vegas, and is an avid sports fan of the teams he grew up with in the Los Angeles area, as well as our new professional teams in Las Vegas.
